About the treatment...

WHAT IS A 5-POINT FACE LIFT USING PROFHILO®?

The 5 -point mini face lift is performed using a new generation dermal filler known as “Profhilo®”. Five injection points using ultra-fine needles are made on each side of the face   into the superficial layer of the skin. This treatment is also suitable for neck, décolletage and hand rejuvenation.

HOW DOES 5-POINT PROFHILO® FACE LIFT WORK?

After injection Profhilo® remains in place for up to 28 days and then is safely broken down by the body before being naturally eliminated. Whilst in place, it has a dual action: Hydration and also remodelling of collagen and elastin resulting in a significant improvement in tissue quality. Over all, skin tone, texture and hydration are improved resulting in a more radiant complexion. The results of this treatment vary depending on the existing health and age of the skin.

WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH PROFHILO®?

Areas that can be treated with Profhilo® include the temples and forehead, the neck, hands, décolletage, inner arms, knees and hands. For the face, neck, and hands only five injection points known as Bio Aesthetic Points (BAPs) are required due to the products ability to spread.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Typically, a course of two treatments, one month apart is recommended every six months. Top up treatments may be administered depending on the response to the initial treatment.

CAN 5-POINT PROFHILO® FACE LIFT BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

Profhilo® can be combined with other non-surgical cosmetic treatments to complement their effects.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

In most cases there is very little downtime. Normal activity can be resumed immediately after treatment. We advise against the use of saunas, sun exposure, exercise and massaging the treatment area for 24 hours following the procedure.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?

As with all injectable treatments there is a small risk of bruising, swelling and discolouration at the injection site. Although rare, there is also the possibility of nodule formation, bumps, allergic reactions, and vascular compromise.

WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE PROFHILO®?

Individuals who are allergic to hyaluronic acid.

Pregnant or breast-feeding women.
